Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Attorney Teny Geragos downplayed the revelations from the rapper’s indictment, saying they don’t make him the new Jeffery Epstein.
The indictment revealed that the frenzied musician organized sex parties known as “Freak Offs,” and during the March raid, authorities found large quantities of baby oil and perfume in his home. .
After the indictment, Diddy was arrested and charged with robbery, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution.

During the appearance in NewsNation‘s “Cuomo,” Diddy’s lawyer, Geragos, criticized the charges against the rapper, saying he is “not guilty.”
The bold claim follows Diddy’s lawsuit, which exposed a series of illegal activities involving the music mogul. One of the main revelations focused on “Freak Offs,” described as multiple sex parties involving Diddy’s female victims and male prostitutes.
However, Diddy’s lawyer insisted that it is wrong for people to conclude that Diddy committed a crime.
Geragos said during an interview with Chris Cuomo: “The way of life and being present at work does not mean that he has committed a crime. Those actions and lifestyle are not crimes.”
He also said that since federal prosecutors did not say during Diddy’s trial that these meetings were inappropriate for women, it suggests the rapper’s innocence.
Geragos added, “What was notable today, what my partner Mark said in court, is that these women never said they disagreed with what happened, not once.”

Geragos also compared Diddy to figures like R. Kelly and Jeffrey Epstein, both accused of serious sex crimes involving children. He emphasized that, unlike them, Diddy has not been accused of such crimes.
“The difference here between R Kelly, between Epstein, there are no allegations related to children,” he insisted.
Geragos predicted during his interview with Cuomo that Diddy did not try to flee when he appeared in New York when they suspected that there was an impeachment.
“12 days ago, Chris, when we thought there might be an indictment coming, [Diddy] on a plane to New York the next day,” Geragos said. “He got on a plane and came here and that’s an unusual step for a defendant under investigation, who he’s known for at least six months.”
“He got to the checkpoint, and he said, ‘Here I am. I want to surrender. Let me surrender,'” the lawyer added. “He did everything, everything that a person under investigation can do. I can’t think of anything else he could have done. There were no surprises here.”

Following his arrest on Monday night, Diddy was charged with robbery, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution.
He was arraigned on the charges on Tuesday, and, as promised by one of his lawyers, Marc Agnifilo, he entered a plea of not guilty.
Diddy was brought to court from the Special Housing Unit at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he was held after his arrest.
The musician is not the first high-profile figure to be incarcerated at the MDC, as figures such as R. Kelly, Sam Bankman-Fried, and Ghislaine Maxwell have all had brief stints at the facility.
Rapper denied Bail Twice
At Tuesday’s hearing, Diddy was denied bail despite posting a hefty bond of tens of millions of dollars. Judge Robyn Tarnofsky had denied bail because she was not sure he would appear in court if released.
The next day, Diddy’s team proposed a modified bail package in another bail hearing before a different judge, Andrew L. Carter.
However, that too was rejected by the new judge, who decided that if Diddy were to be released on bond, there would be a possibility of tampering with the witnesses and disrupting the trial.
After the failed attempt, Diddy was removed from court and returned to the detention center, where he will remain until his trial.
Diddy is determined to prove his innocence during the trial
As the trial continues, Diddy’s team prepares for a battle to prove the rapper’s innocence during his trial.
“He will clear his name and we will stand by his side as he does. We believe in him wholeheartedly,” Agnifilo told reporters on Tuesday, in CNN.
Agnifilo had previously defended Diddy in a statement after the government’s indictment, saying they were “disappointed by the decision” and that it was an “unfair accusation” of the musician.
